Co-hosted with DTUG and D5, this evening looks at the changing role of the designer in the age of AI. A series of speakers will be invited to share their thoughts on the importance of maintaining a creative skillset in order to survive the onslaught of AI and continue to delivery truly creative works, aided but not lead by AI. They will be asked where AI and other automations can be used to genuinely aid the creative mind, and what creative skills remain critical going forward.
Hear from the following thought leaders:
Alberto Roa, Pascall + Watson
Ami Nigam, Benoy
Ana Matic, Scott Brownrigg
Diana Fox, AHMM
Zach Bai Lu, Co-Founder at D5
The London Design Technology User Group (DTUG) was founded in 2023 to reignite in-person knowledge-sharing and to promote the sharing of first-hand experiences with industry peers in a relaxed and social setting. We host several events a year, each one themed around a key AEC topic; i.e. visualisation, sustainability, AI or collaborative interoperability.
Our events are curated by an overly enthusiastic group of technology professionals from across design, consultancy and software partners. The current committee is made up of:
Daniel Giddins – Digital Consultant, Symetri
Caoimhe Loftus – Product Manager, Autodesk Forma
Wayne Patrick Dalton – Senior Associate | BIM Manager, Pascall & Watson
Martin Wilding – Senior Associate Principal | Head of Design Technology, London, KPF
Mike Turpin – Director and Digital BIM Consultant, Innovating Futures
