With keynote 'Power of the Pen' from Narinder Sagoo MBE, Art Director, Senior Partner at Foster + Partners

In an age defined by rapid digital transformation, The Power of the Pen is a compelling exploration of the timeless role of hand drawing in architectural practice. Narinder Sagoo reflects on the emotional, creative, and communicative strength of the drawn line—revealing how sketches can spark ideas, build trust, and convey the soul of a design. Drawing from decades of experience, he shares personal stories and iconic projects to highlight the evolving relationship between analogue and digital tools. This talk champions not one over the other, but the powerful synergy between them—where the pen meets the pixel, and imagination finds its fullest expression.
